My association with this breed began in 1988 when I was given the opportunity to train
and show them for Bramblehill Labrador Retrievers.
This experience was invaluable and through it I met the friends that I cherish today.

The first dog registered with my kennel name is
Ch U-CD Blackthorn Touch O'Duckndogs CDX WC Am CD CGC, also known as Midas.
He taught me so much and it is with great anticipation that we await Midas' 14th birthday in May.

The past 17 years have seen Duckndogs travelling from coast to coast showing in 12 National Specialties
(CKC and AKC) and completing countless Canadian titles showing proof of both beauty and brains.

The time spent with friends and mentors has been wonderful. It has shaped my philosophies and has assured me that my ideals have not changed. I still believe that you can breed a
Labrador that looks like a Lab, has the temperament people expect of a Lab
and with an equal focus on producing healthy companions.
